Originated from flower shops
The founder, Kees Hofman, started selling flowers in markets and locations in 1973 at the age of 17 in Germany. Although this was a success, he wanted to return to the Netherlands.
He opened his first flower shop in 1982 in Purmerend, the Purmer Plantenhal. That piece of history is still a part of us, and the creation of our wholesale name 'PP Flowers'.
He then opened several flower shops in Purmerend and the surrounding area. By buying at the Aalsmeer flower auction, he was able to distinguish himself from the competition. At the moment we still have 6 shops in Purmerend and the surrounding area. More florists joined and so our company grew into wholesale. Currently we provide customers around the globe.
In 2012, the son of Kees, Danny, joined the company to help with logistics and later with purchasing flowers. in 2019, 37 years after its foundation, Danny takes over as PP Flowers.
