What is the price of KOA? (Kopen op afstand)

The price of KOA is based on a monthly subscription fee, a transaction fee and commission fee of your broker.

Monthly subscription fee and transaction fee.

The monthly fee is charged for every license by Royal Floraholland and is €45 in 2022. The transaction fee is charged for every transaction that has been done at the auction and this fee is €1.45 in 2022. The transaction fee is relatively high when you buy small batches. For example, if you buy 10 buckets of Red Naomi Roses with 60 stems in a bucket, you buy 600 stems of Red Naomi Roses. The transaction fee of €1.45 will be divided over those 600 stems, which is €0.0024 on every stem (a quarter of a cent). If you would have bought only 1 bucket, which is 60 stems, the transaction fee would be divided over these 60 stems. So you would pay €0.024 extra on every stem.

Commission fee of the broker

To receive your flowers from the auction, they need to be brought somewhere. Here for you could use a broker. They will receive your flowers from the auction and could pack them and send it on transport to you. For these handling, they will charge a commission fee based on the work they need to do for you. This agreement must be made with them beforehand. The most common commission fee with KOA is between 10% and 15%.
